A unique Fae Lord, he is a prince from a massive family, and is far away from succession to the throne, but knows of the Royal Fae methods of magick. Having a strong connection to Nature, Luck, Fate, Illusion, Transmutation, and specifically Metal/Wealth magicks he is named after the currency in the United States called the Nickle. His people came along with other Fae from Ireland migrating with humans they had felt a strong attachment to, including family lines. Born in the land of the Americas, he has an attitude and mentality that is a mix of his classic upbringings, and a kind of enamored view of the modern world. Having been born during the U.S. Civil War, he was but a child then, but was allowed to select his name, and chose it in accordance with the new currency being “both earthy, and valued” at the time. While old by the measure of humans, he is young by the measure of fae, yet has an intense and strong power to him. He is of a natural branch of truthful, strong, spirit guide type of Fae who look after humans. As he loves the modern world, rather than just selecting someone at random, he's hoping someone sees him, looks to his seal for a connection, and feels some kind of resonance and selects him. He loves the modern world, and is very progressive in his views of the world. That said, he also has great respect for the past, and honors the ancient holidays, and is a good go between with land spirits and other local spirits. While not a chief protector in his own nature, he's not someone to back away from a fight, and tends to go bare knuckle to knuckle, hitting above his weight class, and using his magicks to throw a foe off before a good solid “knock on the nose.” That said, he disdains killing if at all possible, having memories of “the brutal war” as he was growing up, and while he was but a child then, it struck him that “there must be a better use for life than simply dying.”
 
While his natural height is small, around the size of a Silver Dollar, 1.5 inches or 38.1 millimeters, he can change his height at will as most Fae can. He has dark brown hair, and keeps a clean shaven face, often wearing classic dress clothes, and having a smile. Innately friendly, he's kind and compassionate and while not a combat specialist, he'll use everything he has to protect friends and allies.
