Ramblestrun Crescentaxe

A powerful Dwarven Mystic who studies a kind of unique magick that is wildly diverse, and yet very precise. His methods are focused around a family magick called the Crescent method, in which a larger portion of a power is traded off for a more focused transmuted energy. This method of transmutation works in steps, and parts of a whole, where the more different an energy is that he shifts, changes, or transmutes from its original the stronger it is. So for example, if he converts fire to ice, the ice is much more dense, intense, and stronger than normal. It means a more powerful ice energy, but LESS of the actual ice itself. In contrast if he converted a mountain of snow into fire, while the flame would be smaller, it would have intensity beyond all measure. Earth to Mud though, would be less of a change, less intensity of the energy, and less raw power and control over the final result. This extends beyond common elemental forces, and moves into areas of conceptual forces such as luck and fate, prosperity and stability, and other such forces. For an ally who is very fast, but not as strong, he could convert speed to strength for example which is a “mid point” transmutation and they would gain more strength than they lost speed. In contrast, if he were to shift an Master Mages magick to raw brute strength of body, they would have a massive power increase. His shifts are, on anything living, temporary lasting anywhere from a few minutes in the planes, to a few days in our realm for situational energies. It lets him act as a powerful road opener, and gives him unique defensive and ranged offensive abilities. Because of this unique power, he has traveled long and far to study other magicks to understand how his power works with other methods, and he has become well skilled and knowledge in a large area of skills and abilities. This makes him a fantastic aid to learning, and provider of advice and direction.
 
He normally wears a small brown cap and clothes, has a long white beard, and a friendly smile. He is essentially a kind, goodhearted soul, who enjoys seeing others succeed, and finds his place in helping others. Having traveled the realm for several hundred years, he has been an aid to kings and queens, fought in wars, and also set up small shops at times to just aid communities. His natural kind soul makes him an amazing friend, and valued help in all situations.
