Backlog, Ques, and Order Priority

RQL is one of the most successful Metaphysical Shops on the Internet right now! I could not be more proud, but with being one of the best, comes a lot of work. Everything from the News Letter, to Site Updates, Preconjures, Advertising, all of it takes time. We also sometimes get orders on the larger side, hundreds of attunements ordered, dozens of spirits all at maximum power, and there is a kind of ebb and flow to that. Now anyone who's gotten an order recently has heard the words "backlog" and "The Que." Whenever a really large order comes in, say fifty Tarot Attunements for spirits as someone decides to empower their most favored spirits with access to each and every one of them, that creates what I call "The Large Que" or "Que 1." All other orders coming in, preconjures, e-mails, and other work become "The Small Que" or "Que 2."
I schedule my day to do a reasonable amount from Que 1, and then a reasonable amount from Que 2, which sometimes means working with Preconjures is actually scheduled in alongside other client work. This is essential to keeping up with special working times for preconjures. Likewise, advertising, The News Letter, and such all are part of that Que 2.
Que 1 isn't "special" though, everything has priorities. If we have a 2 Que situation, and Que 1 is full, and a large amount of Ultimate Runic Tarot readings comes through, those get bumped up in priority. Outside of readings, healings, banishings, and consultations everything in the que more or less is treat as it is. Some days I don't touch Que 1 because it's just more efficient to finish a larger order in Que 2 completely. When we have backlog, clients will often ask me "should I wait to order" and the answer is no. Que 2 is going to keep filling up. When Que 1 is finished, Que 2 moves much faster, but if you waited to put an order in, Que 1 being finished up means you now just set yourself at the end of Que 2 which just became The Que.So why not have a solid static single que? This would put reading orders, blessings, banishings, consultations, and energy healing often weeks, or months out of reach. It would mean sometimes one larger order could lock us out from all other work for a month, or more. Some clients come to us specifically for a reading once a month, or healing work once a month, and this would effectively remove our ability to be there for them. Other times clients need us for banishing work, or consultation.Weekends are GENERALLY time off, sometimes though like this week, I'll take time to work with Preconjures because they've been waiting for a bit and there just wasn't a time frame I was able to work with them during the work week. Most of the time, the weekend is a kind of sacred time for me, a chance to recover and revitalize. Above all else the takeaway from this is, no matter how busy I am, I make time for emergencies, and client needs that are more immediate. Waiting for us to not have a busy period to put an order in may be a kind of futile effort, because you could hear from me that we're all clear on Monday, and get an order in that night backlogging us before you got your order in the next day on Tuesday. It can happen that fast. This also means sometimes we take a little longer because of emergencies. We've had two "Emergency Orders" placed in using our emergency order option in the past month.
