Harpies

Frequently seen in Greek Mythology, Harpies are a winged powerful bird like woman with sharp claws and a fierceness that is hard to match. Connected strongly to the element of air, storms, weather, and almost always aligned with some type of combat or confrontational abilities they are proud and capable warriors, and protectors. Some seek out deep mystical forces, or diverse mystical arts, while others focus or hone a more singular precise methodology. Embodying the animalistic ferocity of predatory birds mixed with the warrior nature within the human form, they can be an amazing being to work with. Personality wise, most are very focused, very intense, but some are more joyous or joking. Their civilizations tend to be very warrior oriented, with competitions being held frequently, and opportunities to rise in social prominence through combat. While individuals are always unique and varied, Harpies that want to work with a human tend to see the interaction as an opportunity for both to grow. They may be drawn to work with humans out of an instinctive draw, or they may see something in the way humans handle change, the larger world, and even our own mortality as innately valuable. In any event, they are fantastic, often warrior focused beings who are graceful masters of the air, and tenacious protectors.
