Darashal

Presenting initially as the smell of smoke and ash, they are a demon who has risen from their darkness into a kind of half light, half dark state. Rejecting the idea of Divine and Profane they prefer a concept of neutrality, and appear as a living being made of smoke, or as a trail of incense smoke themselves. Their essence and powers are connected more to the forces of balance, harmony, and harmonizing energies. They have vast connections to the element of fire, earth, ash, smoke, and can manifest as a living flame, or as a person made of fire as well, but they prefer their smoke form for casual purposes. Their fire form is both their wrathful and protective state, becoming a being of pure living fire.
 
They have power over changes, movements, shifts in currents, balance, harmony, as well as punishing those who are unjust to encourage balance in them.
 
They have a strange feel to them, not like that of a human, but also not so far removed as to be fully alien to us. Personality wise they are subtle, gentle, kind and compassionate, but not overflowing with emotions or emotional expression. They express who they are by doing, acting, and being.
 
They've been alive for a very long time, with much of that time originally being a Demon of Wrath, Punishment, and Vengeance. A chance encounter with a mystic who, from what they have described was either Buddhist or Taoist caused them to question their path, and they've adopted a path focusing since then on a path of restraint and focus.
