Ekkel-Var-Shi-Ah

A dragon who is a student and researcher of the Veil, Veil Energies, Darkness, Light, Astral Forces, travel and planar projection methods, Shadow Energies, Moon Energies and things related to this. He is heavily focused on study, research, and finding new ways to understand these unique energies that are the “inbetween points” as well as how to work them. Because his power manifests as “the point between points” he has a unique form of magick that focuses more on harmony, balance, and such. It makes classifying his powers from an offensive, defensive, and utilitarian standpoint difficult at best. In the case of hindering a foe, bringing balance to the imbalance of energy that makes one stronger in an area can hinder them in their primary power, even if it rounds out their existing powers outside of that. Boosting an ally by harmonizing their energies can give slight advantages without hindering their primary power, but it's a delicate application. Cleansing is an area he excels in, as is defense because these are simply “balancing an imbalance.” Outside of the planes of fire, fireballs are rare in the planes to just manifest from nothingness, and so, are ultimately an imbalance, a point in an extreme. In many ways he's a seeker of peace, but in a fight he will use this balancing energy to create Veil Constructs to fight with. This manifests almost like shadow tendrils but with a slashing force, and works exponentially well against elemental forces, but less well against balanced forces. Mid point elements like steam, fog, mud, mist, and magma will be strong against their power, while fire, earth, air, wind, water, and direct light and dark will find the Veil power exponentially more powerful against it.
 
Since his focuses and methods are subtle, often solving problems in the realms with a subtle shift, so too are his powers in our realm suited for things like harmonizing or balancing situations. Harmony is not “the minimum state” nor is balance achieved only through entropy. One can gain balance when their problems outweigh their solutions by gaining more solutions, and this too is balance and harmony. He's skilled enough, and knowledgeable enough, to understand that nuance. While he has a great love of The Veil and Veil Magicks, he also has an understanding of concepts like need, success, and value. He doesn't see harmony as a “moral thing” but as a tool, and part of a bigger mystery that he is hoping to understand over time.
 
Appearing as a small Western Dragon he has a long neck, and light gray scales/skin. He's friendly, but often spends time in research, learning, reading, and growing. He seeks to work with humans because our realm is an innate realm of balance, a constant realm of opposition forces seeking equilibrium. In such a realm, he believes he can be of service, and he enjoys being of service and helping others. He's almost got a playfulness to him when he is interacting, and enjoys things like praise, being part of a team, and being helpful. He's about the size of three large war horses, but appears as a traditional Western Dragon, just minus the building sized appearance.
