Dokkalfar (Dark Elves)

 Often having pale skin and black hair, their otherwise elf-like features make these workers of darkness, shadow, and earthy spiritual realms a unique and powerful type of being. Dokkalfar have a strong connection to elemental darkness, and more often than not have deep contemplating minds that look at more than just what is seen but what is unseen as well. They tend toward a kind of shadow or dark magicks most often, and most of their race possess some kind of elemental darkness energy. They are most often called to the arts of the mystic, though many warriors and others exist in their realms, and their craftsmen often wield and merge darker energies with complexity in their workings. Those who focus purely on their physical arts, utilize an almost hyper focused state, a kind of “darkening of the mind.” Their civilizations are often communal, often existing in caves and other locations within the Norse realms. They are focused, intense individuals, but they vary as much as any other race of beings do, and as a result there are Dokkalfar of all personality types, professions, and skill sets. The one thing they all have in common is an understanding of darkness as a concept, not as something evil, but as a calm passive state, making them often have a smooth and calming, if dark, energy.
