Eastern Dragons

The Legendary Dragons of the east are often depicted more massive serpentine than huge winged lizards, with long bodies, bright colorful scales, and a presence and a definitive powerful presence. Eastern Dragons range in type, with some being very much associated with an element, aspect of nature, and sometimes even a connection to a single place or location that grants their powers. That said, Eastern Dragons tend to have an amplified and enhanced focus on wisdom, good fortune, and empowerment above all else, making them their own unique kind of being. Their societies vary greatly from group to group, and many times Eastern Dragons are loners, more dedicated to an ideal, element, or concept than to a group. That said, those who are willing to work with humans tend to be not just fiercely loyal, but almost act like a surrogate parent, grand parent, or guardian in the familial sense of the word. They form a strong family bond with those they work with, and see that person as their "responsibility" both in giving good wisdom, but also the freedom to make choices, and the safety to have support from their greater power and years of experience. Exceptionally long lived, they tend to take a long view of things, but also incorporate a kind of spontaneity into all their actions.
