Fjallvaettir (Mountain Spirits)

Originating in realms, and drawn to locations of powerful mountain energies, these beings tend to be made of amorphous rock, ice, and snow but may also appear more animal or human in nature. They are by their nature the spirits associated, and connected to mountain energies, which means they are more often than not extremely stable, focused, and zoned in individuals. With strong elemental associations to rock, earth, wood, metal, ice, snow, and other mountainous energy types they still have a diversity among their individuals that means its not unheard of for a Fjallvaettir to focus on overall magick and mysticism, or to take on areas of magick they aren’t innately as connected to such as Fire or Celestial magicks. Innately steadfast, and slow to act rashly, they have a strong, calming presence. Their realms where they originate are realms of eternal mountains, often with ice and snow being prevalent, and they often venture forth from that to become one with a singular mountain or place for long periods of time, being guardians, guides, protectors, or even just enjoying the connection to the nature of the mountain in a more material/immutable plane. When they work with humans, or seek to work with a human long term, in our realm it is because they see some innate value in the human way of existence, believe they can bring something to that person's life, or otherwise can help or serve in some way. Their steadfast nature means they often value concepts like honor, justice, and duty, making them amazing companions. Their rocky, earth, physical nature means that while many rely on their elemental powers, warriors are easy to find among their kind, often favoring head first and brute force options over using speed or agility as their core weapon.
