Jotunn

Bold, strong, proud, often larger than normal humans, and at times being as large as a building, the Jotunn are a type of human-like being of the Norse Realms who have incredible strength, and a connection to the chaotic forces of nature. Jotunns are the beings tapped into the raw, chaotic, untapped fury of nature and the universe, and are born in many ways from that essence in a spiritual sense. Their communities are often as ordered and organized as most other beings who appear human, with the exception that their civilization is based on raw strength. They tend toward either having sprawling kingdoms, or small tribes, with small cities seemingly being more rare. When more tribal, they keep homes simple, and focus on a nomadic life. When focusing on a Kingdom or Large city structure they believe in the essence of “go big, or go home” with buildings rivaling those of Asgard itself, and putting to shame our mundane ideals of skyscrapers. All this said, Jotunn are a diverse race, and therefore have diverse tribes, societies, and ways of being. Some Jotunn are essentially connected to the concept of honor, even within their chaotic nature, and some are only focused on strength and power. Jotunn who seek to work with humans tend to see us as kin, family, given our own ability to be destructive and our own often warlike nature. Jotunn are not war crazed, they just have a good appreciation for battle, with some even being seekers of peace. Their strong divine energies, connection to nature, chaos, and other forces mean that Jotunn Mystics range in their life paths, but all honor and see strength as a virtue. Those who focus on a warrior path, or a mystic warrior, often have unique powers or abilities. They are as diverse as any other people, but all have that untamed primal power resonating within them. When a Jotunn decides to work with a human, they see them as helping part of a larger family of beings who are connected by a common divine thread of power.
