Leanan Sidhe

Beautiful, alluring, and often sensual, these kinds of Fairy Folk are a subset of Sidhe who are renowned for their beauty, haunting voices, seductive nature, and focus on passion as well as things like sexuality. While often dangerous in the legends, they tend toward an almost vampiric quality of nature, being able to drain life force energies to fuel their own power. We focus specifically on conjuring those who have gained a mastery, control, or alternative to taking life force energy and who are safe to work with. That said, they can still augment their power upon request with life force energy from natural sources, or their keeper if their keeper enjoys such transfers. In their own societies, Leanan Sidhe range in terms of nature, morality, and ways of understanding the larger world. Those who choose to work with humans in our realm see some value in our rapid growth and change, our way of learning and becoming more than we were. They often have powerful inspirational energies, and can help with inspiring others to greater works and understandings. With strong connections to Nature, Magick, and other such energies similar to their Cousins who we list as simply “Sidhe”, the Leanan Sidhe are darker, more passionate, and more emotionally charged. This doesn’t mean they are “stronger” but for some it may mean they are easier to sense or work with, especially those who prefer working with a sensual conjure.
