Shape Shifters

Shape Shifters exist in many cultures, most notably Native American and Celtic folk lore and mythology. They are beings who hold no single form, and can take many forms. Shape shifters come in a variety of natures. Some have a base form that is their natural or preferred, some must take the form of a living being, and some can change the shape of their limbs or body at will. For this reason it's best to always let us know the kind of Shape Shifter you are looking for. Beings as versatile and variable as this can’t be defined in terms of personalities or qualities, and range from all forms and walks of life. They tend to integrate into other cultures, but some villages, cities, tribes, and other more permanent fixtures of culture exist where they are completely shape shifters. A few kingdoms may exist, but travelers would likely never realize they were in such a place, as in situations like that these tend to be Shape Shifters who prefer a prime form, and the stability that comes with that creates the stability needed for a kingdom.
