Will o' the Wisps

Appearing as a bright glowing sphere of white light, the Will o’ the Wisp is a being of pure energy. While often associated with lost souls, or seen as a kind of fairy, they are guides to lost travelers, protectors of nature, and beings of cleansing force. Unlike more humanoid, or embodied like beings, Wisps have no need for limbs, utilizing telekinesis as needed, and projecting intense blasts or beams of light, barriers of raw energy, and other manifestations. Those who study deeper magicks often translate this into their more natural skill set, learning to do what they have learned from other methods. They tend to prefer elemental, planetary, and esoteric forces of magick over things like rune magicks, but they are known to engage in and enjoy song magick. Again this is all “generalities” within their race of beings, and individuals often break the mold. Personality wise they vary, but most are up beat, and kind of esoteric in how they speak and act, almost aloof at times, and yet intensely interested in being of aid. Wisps who work with humans seek to be of aid, and tend to polarize toward this seeing it as a sacred goal or trust. Their societies range from a more traditional society where many exist separately from each other interacting as individuals, to collectives in which the self and the whole merge with each other for periods of time before becoming individuals again. These two different societies exist based on the preferences of the Wisps who flock to them, and neither judges the other. They are amazingly accepting beings, and fit in seemingly anywhere, finding the niche where they can be of most aid quickly, and easily.
